How do I purchase the Georgia Pet Foundation plate?

Go to your local tag office anytime and ask for the Georgia Pet Foundation specialty tag, or select it during your annual online renewal.

To View the Plate:  Go to the Georgia DMV Specialty License Plate Section, then scroll down to the “G” section to find Georgia Pet Foundation.

Georgia Tag Fees: $45 plus ad valorem tax, if applicable. Fees are distributed as follows:

  • $20 to annual license registration
  • $19-20 to sponsoring organization (e.g., Georgia Pet Foundation)
  • $1 to county tag agent (if initial purchase fee)
  • $5 to the State of Georgia general treasury

No. You can walk into your local tag office any time and ask to purchase the Georgia Pet Foundation specialty tag.

Once you order your new license plate through your county tag office, you will receive a temporary license plate. The Georgia Pet Foundation license plate will be mailed to you in approximately 2 weeks.
